Only Girl

Who cares if it’s winter. Bring me back to the sunshine please. I’ve been freezing ever since I returned to the states and that’s in the mild climate of San Francisco. Above is a pic I snapped in Thailand. Since there’s no way to get back there, I’ll have to settle for a mental return trip which helps with this track here from Cajoline.

Cajoline, from Paris, is new to the scene. This is their first released track. If this is what we have in store I see a bright future for Cajoline. This certainly reminds me musically of Perseus or Monitor 66. Enjoy!

JJ Cale, not Eric Clapton’s, ‘Cocaine’ is give some modern nu disco flare. This seems like a great little track to throw in the middle of a set.

It stays true to the original melody with some added spacey synth noises. Enjoy this modern classic.

This Time

‘With a vocal style as diverse as his DJ sets, Jeremy Glenn has been putting his stamp on nu-disco and house for the last 2 years. After the success of his New Life EP on Future Classic, Jeremy quickly shifted gears into more house territory with his well received remix for Dance Disorder and his own Surrender EP on Belgium’s We Play House Records.

Since then he’s had remixes released on such prime labels as Disco Texas and Moda Music and collaborated with Tensnake, Mario Basanov and MANIK to name a few.’

A futuristic retro remix of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’? Yes Please! I sent this track to my friend today as he’s a big Stevie fan. I’ll just post my blurb that I sent to him:

“hey if you ever travel back in time to 1986 and happen to still be in LA, driving at night, with the windows down, maybe a few palm trees out, and an unseasonably warm night comes upon you… blast this jam from the future.”

Also check out Lektrono’s futuristic funkish nu disco version. A more upbeat freakster.

There’s also a free download here and here.

It’s May 11th and you know what that means?!?! Absolutely nothing, but it is a Friday and I have two tracks that were released today. We’re rolling with the freshy tropical vibe today.

First up we have a new A.N.D.Y. and Vicente tune that runs strong with the beach and is giving some Nu Disco flare by Jay Lamar & Jesse Oliver. Holy snyth bass batman. This one is just perfect for the dancefloor. I love the orginal tune, but this suits my Friday sunshine mood much more. The label, Discotexas (of Lisbon, Portugal) does it again. One of the best out there.

The second track is another remix that’s been blessed by the disco gods. A classic Tina Turner jam is given the horizontal disco treatment from Zimmer. If you don’t know this Parisian I suggest you visit his soundcloud page. TinaTURNUP!!!
