Perseus just released a new track of his and it’s a slow n soulfoul piece. I’m pretty sure this is in the new Magician Tape, but I haven’t listened yet. So looks like that’s what I’ll be doing next musically.

This song is perfect for a rainy day where you’re just waiting for it to get better knowing it’s not too far away. I’m a bit biased as it’s raining on the west coast, but I’m sure this would work perfectly on a great day too especially when you’ve got Mary J Blige “I Can Love You” samples “raining” throughout the song.

Who’s gone love you like I do, huh? What
Who’s gone treat you like I do, huh? What
Nobody, nobody

Who’s gonna make you feel the way I do?
Nobody, nobody

Respect & Glory

A fire deep house track for ya on Friday. The sun is about an hour from going down. I’m getting ready to go grab some drinks and listen to music. If this track doesn’t get you pumped for the night then well…. I guess you don’t like this track 🙂 Enjoy the weekend.

Take Me Home

Poolside released a single off their upcoming album and made it available for free. Los Angeles based duo Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise are good friends who are inspired by California, mezcal, dancing, good food and wine. Their sound is called Daytime Disco.

Capital Cities of LA, just released their new single. It’s a fun mix of a bunch of different styles. I love the horn section and the bouncey synth. I’m not quite sure how “electronic” this is, but who cares. Enjoy it for what it is… a fun tune.

Monitor 66 who hail “by the shore” in Sweden says they make music with funky bass lines inspired by sunsets. Sounds pretty perfect to me. I constantly draw inspiration from epic sunsets I’ve just yet to figure out how to use that inspiration… oh wait, I post sunset pics on a music blog constantly. Music often makes me mentally picture nature at its finest. At any rate…

This song “Triscuits” has some well placed samples from the old school tune “Twisted” by Keith Sweat… bringing the 90’s back with that smooth tropical disco sound. They enabled a free DL, but it looks like it will be released on House of Disco Records. Enjoy this one.
